In the exhibition opening 2 October 2024, Yemisi portrays and honours two significant women (her maternal & paternal grandmothers) who have been important to their families, working in alabaster, marble and black granite. 21 Genders: A Bantu Script

We piloted the Southnord Incubator Programme with Rutendo Harvey, a Zimbabwean linguistic researcher exploring the intricacies of Bantu languages and how they have been influenced by modern communication. In an intimate workshop at Southnord Artspace, The Mbire Script came alive, revealing 21 unique perspectives embedded in the Bantu languages.
