Southnord’s VISUAL POETRY offering during the artfest at Kulturhuset on 27 October was curated in collaboration with The Poetic Phonotheque. We invited ALL visual poets of African descent in the Nordic region to submit their poetic contributions in the form of animations, experimental short films, video collages, etc. Old and new works were welcome!

Southnord UP NEXT is an annual exhibition featuring the works of young up-and-coming Afro-Nordic artists. This year’s theme explores the intersection between art, nature and future. We invited 16-24 year olds to apply and the jury reached a decision! The winner is Alexandra das Neves Lehmann, who’s solo exhibition was presented in the Southnord artspace in Stockholm between 7-30 September 2023.
